I love this band . . . this song’s upbeat chorus provides a great work out. You can use the chorus as for spring or fast intervals, and then slow down for the rest of the song.
“Pin” - Yeah yeah yeahs
This short, fast-paced song can be used in the “two minutes left” end of your workout.
“Shot Down” - Yeah yeah yeahs
Listen to this when you feel betrayed by someone close to you. Sweat instead of cry.
“Just Because” - Janes Addiction
For those times when you feel like a fool and that you should have known better. Use in a nice steady workout.
“24″ - Jem
I’m not sure if this was ever used in the show with the same name, but it should have been. I use this great running song when I pretend that the world will end in 24 hours and I have to stop it. Like I said, fantasies and work out songs boost my energy.
“E-Pro” - Beck
When I first heard this song, I knew it would be a fantastic work out song! It’s got a great tempo and I can visualize myself fighting someone in the instrumental part.
“So what” - Pink
What better song for a Fight playlist then a song about a fighting? If I’m on an elliptical machine, I like to act as if I’m punching someone whenever I push each stick forward. Because deep down inside, everybody wants to start a fight
“Blue Orchid” - White Stripes
I love this song so much that I named my blue Sentra after it. The opening itself gets me pumped up and the rest assists in getting my heartbeat faster. Play in those times when you want to shock everyone.
That’s it for FIGHT . . . I know, I know you really wanted some more songs to go along with that dream of punching your boss’s lights out. Don’t worry I’ll have some ANGRY ones in a few weeks. For my next post, we will go to the MOVIES . . .
