FIGHT WORK OUT SONGS - part two

PRODIGY - I have to dedicate an entire post to them because their songs have helped me push myself since I began working out regularly. My initial introduction to them was from seeing one of their videos in 1997 and I was not interested. But then I saw their songs played in a few Charlie’s Angels movies and I could see how they could help me push myself.  I played these and pretended I was a Angel kicking some villain butt and it worked! I know that some songs might seem too harsh and you’ll say “I don’t like techno.” Please give them ONE CHANCE, especially on a day when you’re feeling extremely overwhelmed and horribly underappreciated.

“Smack my bitch up” - Prodigy Don’t let the title fool you. I am not promoting violence against women, and they have even said in interviews that the term means “going crazy.” This was my first taste of them and the lyrics work in my favor. I can imagine someone calling me a bitch and how I can show them just how bitchy I am with a punch in the face.  There is a point in about the middle of the song where it gets slow and the last minute it pumps back up. I like to pretend that I’m struggling and then I come back strong and win the fight.

“Firestarter” - Prodigy
This one’s a bit faster and it’s great for those times when you feel like shaking things up in your life.

“Spitfire” - Prodigy
More techno and repetitive . . . this one screams vengeance and rage. You can envision someone pushing you to your breaking point, and then you show them what a big mistake they made.

“Funky Shit” - Prodigy
Fast, fast beats perfect for running and hard-core cardio.  Use this terrific workout song for those “fish out of water” moments.

“Hot Ride” - Prodigy
Awesome intro . . . I like to play this song when I am going to see people that I haven’t seen in awhile, like at a high school reunion or something. I need to
prove that I am better than I was back then and have everything to show for it.

“Breathe” - Prodigy
More of the same sounds, but great for those long, steady workouts.

“Get up and Get Off” - Prodigy
As one of my fav work out songs, it really works for losing weight. The song details how you have to “get up (your ass)” and do something if you expect change. I also like to listen to it when I have “no dough.”

Ok, I’m done with Prodigy placement. I just need people to understand they do produce some work out songs, even if they aren’t advertised that way. More FIGHT work out songs on the way . . . .
