WORKOUT MUSIC - MOVIES - part two
WORKOUT MUSIC - MOVIES - part two
These are some more from superhero movies and television. Don’t we all secretly want to be to great champion that defeats all evil? Unfortunately since that involves a great amount of risk and a likelihood of death, we can settle for using it as oomph for our workouts!
“Makai Club (Kill Bill theme)” - NJPW
The Bride’s revenge theme works wonderfully for workout music. You can envision yourself as a vigilante, taking justice into your own hands.
“Hush” - Kula Shaker, I know what you did last summer
From the 1997 horror movie, it has become one of my favs around Halloween. I love using it in my playlist when I plan on looking great in my costume!
“Buffy the vampire slayer theme” - Nerf Herder
I worshipped this show a few years ago and the theme always gets to me. I can feel like a resilient heroine fighting evil, at least for a minute (or more if I just put it on repeat )
“How soon is now (Charmed theme)” - Love Spit Love
Sorry Smiths fans, but I like this version better for workout music. I love to feel like a witch that can also kick some tail.
“Leave you far behind” - Lunatic Calm, several movies
This song has been used countless times in movie and film, because it’s great for so many instances. I remember it best on a short-lived show “John Doe” where he skydives. I have always pictured myself doing this when I listen to it, but to each his (her) own.
“It’s the end of the world” - REM
Another song played frequently, I think it fit best at the beginning of Independence Day. It so fast and nobody can sing the lyrics (actually I was bored one day in during adolescence and learned it :-). One of my few talents). I don’t listen to it every workout, but it’s nice to include every now and then.
Come back for more movie music madness . . .
